The war included prolonged sieges such as that of the city of Vukovar in 1991 and years of largely static frontline fighting punctuated by periods of intense violence. Decisive Croatian offensives in 1995, Operations Flash and Storm, rapidly recaptured nearly all rebel-held territory, effectively ending the war and precipitating the mass displacement of much of the region's Serb population.FactsCroatian War of IndependenceConnectionsSourcesComments (0)Reader Challenges (0)FactsStart YearWell-attested1991 1End YearWell-attested1995 1CombatantsWell-attestedCroatia; Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and Republic of Serbian Krajina 1OutcomeWell-attestedCroatian victory 1ClassificationDeath Toll MinWell-attestedfrom 20,000 1Conflict TypeWell-attestedColonial or Anti-Colonial War 1Croatian War of IndependenceFilter Results8 entriesWeapon FamilyAllAnti-Tank Weapons and Mines (1)Armored Cars and Reconnaissance Vehicles (1)Assault Rifles (3)Assault Rifles of China (1)Assault Rifles of Europe (1)Assault Rifles of Russia and the Soviet Union (1)Rifles and Carbines (4)Sniper, Designated Marksman and Anti-Materiel Rifles (1)Tanks (1)Towed Howitzers and Field Guns (1)Weapon Type or ClassAll155 mm field gun (heavy towed field gun, nicknamed Long Tom) (1)Amphibious armoured scout car (1)Amphibious light tank (1)Assault rifle (2)Bolt-action sniper rifle (1)man-portable anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) (1)small arm (1)CaliberAll.22-250 Remington (1).243 Winchester (1).308 Winchester (1)155mm (1)5.45x39mm (1)7.62x39mm (2)7.62x51mm NATO (1)76.2mm (1)Introduced EraAll1941 (1)1951 (1)1962 (1)1963 (1)1967 (1)1969 (1)1974 (1)1978 (1)1983 (1)Service StatusAllIn Service (7)Retired (1)OperatorAllAustrian Army (1)Bundeswehr (1)Egyptian Armed Forces (1)Indian Army (1)Israeli Defense Forces (1)People's Liberation Army (1)Soviet Armed Forces (3)United States Armed Forces (3)United States Army (1)Vietnam People's Army (1)ManufacturerAllArzamas Machine-Building Plant (1)Bangladesh Ordnance Factories (1)Degtyarev plant (1)Fegyver- és Gépgyár (1)GAZ (1)Kalashnikov Concern (1)Kirov Plant (1)Steyr Arms (1)Volgograd Tractor Factory (1)Show ResultsBrowseCompareSelect all 8155 mm Gun M1Croatian War of Independence9M14 MalyutkaCroatian War of IndependenceAK-74Croatian War of IndependenceAMD-65Croatian War of IndependenceBRDM-2Croatian War of IndependencePT-76Croatian War of IndependenceSteyr SSG 69Croatian War of IndependenceType 81 assault rifleCroatian War of IndependenceConnectionsUses155 mm Gun M1, Weapons Systems Well-attested Source Wikipedia: 155 mm Gun M19M14 Malyutka, Weapons Systems Well-attested Source Wikipedia: 9M14 Malyutkatier 2AK-74, Weapons Systems Well-attested Source Wikipedia: AK-74tier 4AMD-65, Weapons Systems Well-attested Source Wikipedia: AMD-65BRDM-2, Weapons Systems Well-attested Source Wikipedia: BRDM-2PT-76, Weapons Systems Well-attested Source PT-76, WikipediaSteyr SSG 69, Weapons Systems Well-attested Source Wikipedia: Steyr SSG 69Type 81 assault rifle, Weapons Systems Well-attested Source Wikipedia: Type 81 assault rifleSources1.
