The Zastava M77 is a 7.62x51mm battle rifle and light machine gun developed and made by Zastava Arms of Yugoslavia, based on the earlier Zastava M70 assault rifle and following the Kalashnikov pattern of design. It entered production in 1977, with early rifles built on milled receivers and later ones using stamped RPK style receivers with adjustable gas systems that could accommodate a suppressor. The light machine gun version has a folding bipod and a finned barrel for cooling during sustained fire.
