The S-75 Dvina, known to NATO as the SA-2 Guideline, is a Soviet-designed high-altitude air defense system built around a command-guided surface-to-air missile. Developed by Raspletin's KB-1 with the missile itself from Grushin's MKB Fakel, it entered service in 1957 and went on to become one of the most widely deployed air defense systems in history. It scored the first surface-to-air missile kill of an enemy aircraft in 1959 and became internationally known for shooting down a U-2 spy plane in the 1960 U-2 incident.
