The Six-Day War, or the 1967 Arab-Israeli War, was fought from 5 to 10 June 1967 between Israel and a coalition of Arab states, primarily Egypt, Syria and Jordan, in the context of the wider Arab-Israeli conflict. In six days of fighting, Israel captured and occupied the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, from Jordan, the Gaza Strip and Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, and the Golan Heights from Syria, in a decisive Israeli victory.
