The GP-25 Kostyor, along with its successors the GP-30 Obuvka and the GP-34, is a family of Russian 40mm under-barrel muzzleloaded grenade launchers built for the AK family of assault rifles. The GP designation stands for Granatomyot Podstvolnyj, Russian for under-barrel grenade launcher, and the GP-25 was adopted by Soviet forces in 1978.
