All Wars

Named wars: the sustained armed conflicts between states, coalitions or organized parties, each carrying a start year, an end year, its combatants and its outcome. Belongs here: a named war as a whole (the American Civil War, the Second Punic War), classed here by the era in which it was fought. Does not belong here: a single battle or campaign inside a war, which is a battle entity that carries a part-of edge back to its war, or the broad historical narrative of a war's causes and aftermath, which is History's subject; this atlas keeps the military-operational account and links to History's event entity by a same-as edge.
